Two Decades of Excellence

Building upon two decades of experience in music education and orchestra development, the founders of Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong are honored to launch PAOHK Orchestra School that features a series of orchestral programs, music classes and conducting workshops that provide an inspiring environment for talents to flourish, and a platform extending to people of all ages to learn music through performances and comprehensive training.

Learning from the Masters

Previous masterclasses by renowned artists and pedagogues include Emmy-award winning conductor Jahja Ling (who holds the longest working relationship with the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra), Edward Auer (the First American prize-winner and jury of the prestigious International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw), Paul Silverthorne and Olivier Stankiewicz (Principal Viola and Principal Oboe of London Symphony Orchestra).

Outstanding Track Record

Our creators are proud of founding the highly successful Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong which has served as a cradle for young elite musicians who have been accepted into leading institutions and music festivals across the world, such as Yale University, Paris Conservatoire, The Juilliard School, Royal Academy of Music, Tanglewood, Aspen, The Pacific Music Festivals, and the YouTube Orchestra. This worldwide network of alumni currently working in professional orchestras across four continents is evidence of our proven pedagogy and achievements in musical training.

A Passionate Community of Music Makers

Since the orchestra's establishment in 2007, Pro Arte has attracted musicians from a wide range of backgrounds – from graduates or current students of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong...etc, to teenagers studying at local schools, such as Diocesan Boys' School, Diocesan Girls' School, La Salle College,  Ying Wa College, St Paul's Co-educational College, St Paul's College, Maryknoll Convent School, Belilios Public School, Heep Yunn School, Wa Yan College (Kowloon) and Queen's College etc, all sharing the same goal of making the best music. Come and join our Orchestra School that connects to this vibrant community of  music makers and creators.
